There is a widespread belief among American Christians that they are a persecuted group. Besides being erroneous, this belief is dangerous, especially when Christianity is conflated with America itself (patriotism and religion are tightly intertwined for many conservative Christians). It's the sort of mindset that inspires songs like "God Bless America." (Why not ask God to bless other nations, besides the wealthiest and most powerful?) I was born here and my family have lived here for over 100 years after immigrating from Germany. I chose my own spiritual path that is not of the masses. I am not free to speak my opinions. I am bombarded by holy roller e-mails and even after telling friends and family to desist from sending me them, they still continue with little regard to my personal feelings. Christians are great violators of personal freedoms. I say keep them out of any and all political matters! And they should be taxed if they want involved see how they like that! Great job Ken!
