When I would hear 'Joe the Plumber' and the other lemmings of the right wing bring up this fear-mongering tactic, I just asked myself 'what are you talking about????' What do you think taxes are? Have you ceased using our roads, bridges, public utilities??? Where do you think we get money to fund our military (besides China)???? The bottom line is you can't just buy into whatever it is that whoever you are watching is selling! I know plenty of people that take Rush and Sean at their word! They don't understand that they are entertainers- they are not un-biased. And the same goes for Keith Olbermann on the other side. All of these shows should come with a warning, like cigarette packages (another socialist idea). Finding something non-biased is next to impossible. But that doesn't excuse us from not looking!
